![]() It has been a couple of weeks since I've written a blog post. My reasoning behind this is two fold: 1) the week before last, we focused on relaxing and unwinding to get us in the mood for half-term... hence, I was too busy relaxing and unwinding to bother writing a post about it! 2) Last week, I was actually manifesting that intention by flitting off to Sardinia for 5 days and leaving my stresses and worries behind!! So this week I am back to it. And I felt so enriched after my trip, that it naturally inspired the intention for this week. The definition of enrichment is: "the action of improving or enhancing the quality or value of something". Therefore our yoga practice is designed to enrich us - to improve the quality of our mind, body and soul. Focusing on asana (poses) to improve our physical being, and pranayama (breath) to improve us energetically and emotionally, our Yoga practice should always leave us feeling enriched rather than depleted and tired. I feel that this is particularly important during the Autumn and Winter months when we need those little extra boosts of enrichment. Namaste xxx

After a long day of work, my body longs for a good rest weekend. Once or twice a month, I let myself enjoy a 2 hour massage or spa. Sometimes me and my family plan a 5 days vacation outside of the country. I do it because I know that my body and mind needs to recharge every now and then. I need it for me to function well in my personal and in my work life.
