I teach a range of yoga classes, suitable for everyone, including Pregnancy and Mummy & Baby Yoga.
I don't categorise my sessions as "beginner, intermediate or advanced", because it very much depends on what you want from your practice. Please take a look below at the description of my sessions and see what you like the sound of! Whether you are complete newbie to Yoga, or you have been practicing for a long time - I am so excited to be a part of your journey!

Gentle Yoga

✨ Relax and unwind with some gentle stretches and flowing movements. Breathe, release and let go of any stress or tension you are holding on to in both mind and body ✨
Moving gently in our bodies provides us with the opportunity to check-in with ourselves and understand what might be going on for us on a deeper level.
This is more somatic in its approach, meaning that there is time given to really explore how our bodies are feeling and where we might be storing trapped energy, trauma and emotions, and begin to allow them to shift, move and release!

Mummy & Baby Yoga

💞 A yoga class designed to give you a bit of time to stretch, flow and breathe, whilst spending some quality time with baby and encouraging their movement and development too 💞
For the first part of the class we introduce ourselves and our babies and share in anything motherhood-related we'd like to, creating a sense of the village we so desperately need as mums.
We start by singing a few songs and interact with baby, and then move in to a Yoga practice designed to rebuild strength and flexibility after pregnancy and birth.
I also really encourage you to reconnect with your body after birthing your baby, and to practice kindness towards yourself as you navigate being in what might feel like a completely different body to the one you had pre-pregnancy 💕
It can feel really wonderful to be supported by other mums, but it is important to remember that although we are all in this together, we are also on our own unique paths of motherhood. What might be right for one, won't be right for the other. Just like pregnancy, every postnatal body and experience will be different - so please honour where you are right now (it will change again in a few weeks/months!)
I give lots of modifications to guide you gently through your postnatal journey, but as always it is so important to listen to your body and only do what feels right for you.
There will be toys for babies to play with too!
Suitable from postnatal check-up, and for non-walking babies.

Yoga during pregnancy is a fantastic way to help your body be in the best possible shape for labour and beyond, and is a great way to connect to your growing bubba inside the womb.
Pregnancy can be a time of heightened emotions, stress, worry and anxiety, so the Yoga I offer in these sessions will not just be about staying physically strong during this time. These classes are designed to offer you a space to open up about anything that might be feeling a little too much right now, and use your practice to provide you with more resilience, and settle things down for you in your mind and emotions as well.
Although it feels wonderful to be on the same journey as other pregnant women, it is important to remember that you are still on your own path, and every pregnancy and pregnant body is different. Listen to your body and only do what feels right for you.
Suitable from dating-scan (12-14 weeks).

Energy Flow Yoga

💫 This is really fun, stronger practice, with some deeper stretches and longer, stronger postures and dynamic flows! 💫
In these sessions, I draw upon inspiration from trainings I have taken in Hatha, Vinyasa, Forrest Yoga and neuroscience! I create sequences that are exploratory in their approach, and get you to play around and have fun discovering the incredible and multifaceted ways in which our bodies are able to move.
Our brains also love novelty, so when we move our bodies in different ways it creates new neural-pathways in the brain - this is called neuroplasticity ,and is incredibly important for ageing! So these sessions are designed to keep your body strong and your brain sharp!
Of course, we intertwine this with moments of rest, and we end with a delicious and much-needed savasana relaxation!
As always, I offer modifications along the way, and it is important to listen to your body and only do what feels right for you.

Relax & Unwind Yoga - for deep healing & nourishment

In this fast-paced modern world, we often find ourselves in a heightened state of awareness. We are constantly "doing", without finding the time to stop and take a deep breath. When we find ourselves in this state for a prolonged period of time, our brain sends threat signals to our nervous system because it cannot tell the difference between the threat of being chased by a lion or the threat of someone cutting us up in traffic! Our nervous system then engages our fight, flight or freeze response, known as our sympathetic nervous system response.
That's not to say that our sympathetic nervous system is a bad thing entirely - we actually sometimes need this to fire up to give us strength and power, but fired up for too long and this can manifest itself in our minds and bodies as stress, anxiety, tension, illness and disease.
This class is therefore the antidote to our busy, chaotic lives!
With incredibly slow, Yin-inspired restorative poses, and soothing breath-work, this session will give you deep rest and relaxation. Here, our brain's threat level is lowered, and it begins to send messages to the body that we are safe. When we feel safe, we are able to release tension and stress, and completely let go. Our parasympathetic nervous system kicks in, our heart-rate and blood pressure lowers, and our body's systems can return to their normal and optimal functioning. This promotes healing on a deeper, cellular level, as well as mentally and emotionally too. We can truly "rest and digest" in this class.
Not to mention it will set you up for a wonderful night’s sleep too!
Even though this class is slow and calming, it is still important to listen to your body and only do what feels right for you. Some of the stretches are deep, and we have a lot of time to reflect and watch our thoughts.
