![]() I know that this week's intention may seem a little contradictory to last week's, but we all know that Yoga is about balance don't we?! And as fantastic as it is to keep our energy levels up by practicing yoga, it can also be as equally fantastic to snuggle up with a hot cocoa and a blanket at this time of year! As the weather gets colder, we look for things that will help keep us warm - we drag our jumpers, scarves, gloves, hats and boots out of the wardrobe, and brush off the dust and spiders that may have found their home there!! We eat more warm, comforting foods, drink more hot drinks, and hot water bottles, slippers and thick socks begin to bring joy back in to our sun-less existence!! Most of you who know me, know how much of a sun-worshiper I am! I despise the cold and love the heat. So I struggle A LOT in the Winter, as I know lots of us do. However, I also love this time of year - the gorgeous hues of reds and browns; leaves falling from trees; and I know some of you will wince at the mention of the "C" word, but the feeling that Christmas(!!) is only round the corner fills my heart and soul with excitement and happiness! Ultimately, as we begin to feel the fresh, crisp chill of the Auntumn/Winter air, nothing can feel better than giving ourselves (and others) a great big warm hug! So this week, we will be focusing on stoking our internal fire, and generating our own warm, cosy internal environment to help combat the external cold! Namaste, xxx
